GIFTED

On Friday we welcomed 1,700 young people accompanied by 130 teachers from across the diocese.  This was a superb event where Year 8 pupils who had received the Sacrament of Confirmation earlier in the year gathered to hear how the diocese would continue to support them in the years ahead.

 The day began with a noisy shout out as each of the schools made their presence known in the auditorium and knew that people had travelled from as far as Coleraine and Castlewellan to be with us on the day.

Niall, from CAST MINISTRIES set us a challenge to ‘reverse our thinking’ and to allow ourselves to be free from all the other things that can have a negative influence to focus on the fact that we are loved by God and that each one of us has been blessed with amazing gifts.

We had lots of different fun parts to the day with messy games, teachers dancing on the stage, meeting all the exhibitors and a quick hello from the Bishops.
