Hospital Chaplains
The Diocese of Down and Connor in co-operation with the Belfast HSC Trust nominates full and part time chaplains to co-ordinate the pastoral care of patients in the Belfast Hospitals.
Chaplains, along with a team of Assistant Chaplains, provide a specialist service catering for the spiritual and religious needs of those who admitted as in-patients in the four main hospital sites.
Members of the chaplaincy team visit patients on a regular basis. If you wish receive chaplaincy visits while in hospital, please ask to be placed on the chaplains’ list at admission.
Chaplains also provide an on-call service in case of emergency: ward nursing staff can contact the chaplain on-call for you.
