ST MARY’S UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
St Mary’s is the only Catholic University College in Northern Ireland. The College’s primary role is to serve the educational needs of the Catholic community and of society in general, principally by educating competent and caring teachers. The College also offers a BA in Liberal Arts and a range of inservice courses for teachers and educational professionals.
The Chairman of the Board of Governors is, ex-officio, the Bishop of the Diocese of Down and Connor. The Principal is Professor Peter B Finn. There are 56 lecturers, 1000 full-time students.
Mass is celebrated in the College chapel on weekdays during term time at 1.05pm (Thursday 12.05pm) and 5.15pm. Visitors are welcome.

Mass in the University: Masses are celebrated from the Sunday Evening before the first day of ‘term’. There are no masses outside of term time.
Daily Mass: Mon-Fri. 12.15pm (12.45 during exams)
Sunday Masses: 12 noon (includes sign language) and 8pm (main students’ Mass).
Ash Wednesday: 8.15am, 11.15am, 12.15pm, 6.15pm and 7.30pm.

JORDANSTOWN CAMPUS
On the Jordanstown Campus, the Chaplaincy team is based at the Chaplains’ Suite (5F01) which is on the Mall in the main University building.
Mass in the University: Mass Tues 8.40am and Friday 12.20am in the Prayer Room 1D05.
In addition to the University services St. James Parish Church, Whiteabbey is within easy walking distance of the campus. Sunday Masses: Vigil 6pm, 11.30am.
