Annual Mass For Deceased Pioneers @ Good Shepherd Centre | Northern Ireland | United Kingdom

November – Month of the Holy Souls.

Many people choose to abstain from alcohol for the month of November and offer up their sacrifice for their deceased loved ones. YOU CAN DO LIKEWISE. Take the short term Pledge for November and say the Prayer daily: “I promise in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary to abstain from all alcoholic drink during November”.

The Annual Mass for Deceased Pioneers will be held in Good Shepherd Church, 511 Ormeau Road on Wednesday 21st November, 7.30pm.

Prayer Matters
Dec 1 @ 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm

All Saints’ Parish Centre, Cushendall Road, Ballymena, will hold its 6th annual round table gathering on ‘Prayer Matters’ on Saturday, 1 December from 2.00 – 5.30pm.  All are welcome at this event at which Sr Elaine Kelly from the Adoration Convent on Falls Road, Belfast, will speak about her spiritual journey and prayer life.  She will be joined by Fr Patrick Delargy, parish priest of All Saints, and parishioner Baroness Nuala O’Loan, and the round table will be hosted by Janice McKeith.

Many of us, regardless of age, lead very busy lives, with work, family and social commitments taking up much of our time. Prayer can sometimes be relegated to weekly attendance at church when we join together in various forms of public prayer, but we also need to spend private time nurturing our individual, living relationship with God. A growing relationship can be measured by the quality of its communication. If that happens only in public, it is an indication of a troubled relationship. Our round table gathering will examine ways in which we can make various forms of individual prayer a significant part of our daily lives and so develop a deeper relationship with God.  The organisers hope that those who attend will have an enjoyable afternoon during which they can share their ideas with each other or just listen to the speakers as they explore some different ways of praying.

There’s no charge for the event at which refreshments will be served. A donation basket will be provided for those who wish to contribute towards the costs of running the round table.
