Encounter – New Ways To Engage
November 10, 2018 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
St Bernard's Parish Hall
We invite all Catholic leaders involved in Youth Ministry to join us for our next Encounter Network. Building on the themes of our last session we will practically explore how to engage with young people in the cultural challenges of today. Guest Speaker Andy Hewitt will share wisdom and insight. Workshops include: Engaging with the Marginalised, Evangelisation that works, Models for Ministry and Sex, Relationships and God. We would love if you could join us on the day. Please register on the link below https://goo.gl/forms/0nuyxe0fq5VGDlCV2 or check out the https://www.encounternetwork.com/ for more information.
We are excited that our next Gathering has an inspirational speaker such as Andy Hewitt. Andy has many years of experience leading youth ministry and engaging with communities. He is a dynamic leader, missionary, motivator, encourager and all round great Christian guy. He is going to give us a challenging input about how we bring our faith, values and hope to the culture where we engage with young people who we work with across the different parishes, youth organisations and religious movements we work alongside. There will also be prayer and worship led by Fr James and Fr Conor. Good coffee and lunch too.
Encounter – New Ways To Engage – Saturday 10th November @ St Bernard’s Parish Hall, Glengormley.
We want you to put this in your diary and we are looking forward to connecting with you once again. We want all Youth ministers, Youth workers, Youth Movements, Chaplains, Teachers, Catechists, Evangelists, Musicians, Missionaries, Religious, Clergy and even Bishops to come along if they are interested in making a difference in the lives of young people and to join together in this great mission. Our last gathering had 98 participants and almost 1/5 were priests or religious!!
We want you here whether you have a few weeks experience or a few decades as we aim to nourish, support, encourage and inspire each other. As we prepare for a new year and recover from World Meeting of Families, Pilgrimages, Summer Schemes and the Synod2018 it is important to reconnect. It is important to build a family of faith, to build relationships and pray for each others ministry and work. The ethos of our network stays the same. We are about awakening hope, building unity and being leaders that serve.
